Graduate Certificate in Surgical Science
The Graduate Certificate in Surgical Science is an entry/exit point within the nested Master of Surgical Science program, which is designed for students who are eligible to practice medicine in Australia and are planning a career in surgery or a proceduralist speciality. The content of the program is based on the JDocs Framework from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and introduces foundational knowledge relevant for entering surgical training.
Students will benefit from working as a doctor while they are studying as some subjects require students to draw on their clinical experience. Most subjects require attendance at up to two study days and up to two webinars each semester.
